U.S. Department of Homeland Security Designates DataVantage Global Software as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology
FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. (October 9, 2009) —
On August 20, 2009, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security designated Direct Computer Resources, Inc.'s flagship data masking software, DataVantage Global®, as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology of proven effectiveness and with confidence of repeatability.
The DataVantage Global technology offers a single, scalable multi-tier, enterprise-wide, easy-to-learn-and-use data masking and obfuscation software solution. Typical usages include protecting private and confidential sub-sets of production data for application development and testing purposes and generating protected data sets for use by third parties as well as securing production information used in-house. The software also offers forensic features that help protect companies from the accidental or criminal use of its sensitive data by internal or third-party users, rendering lost or stolen data virtually useless for nefarious purposes. A "finger printing" feature facilitates the tracing of a breach back to its source. Leading industry analysts have reported that more than 70 percent of data breaches are attributable to trusted internal sources or consultants.
This patented, ISO 9001/ISO 27001 independently-tested software enables organizations in all industries as well as the government to comply with regulatory standards as well as internal policies related to data sharing and compliance, while maintaining the integrity of the data for scalable use in applications throughout and external to an enterprise. The product is currently deployed in production among DCR customers.
